Traditional Japanese art, and Asian culture in general. I'm very disciplined and I feel they live very disciplined lives and I enjoy it. And life in general inspires me, I find inspiration from people clothing nature, damn near anything that looks interesting.
Which of your artwork pieces is your favorite?
I Never have a favorite piece, I love and hate all the work I make at the same time and always strive to reinvent and create a new form to progress my style and subject matter. That's what keeps this interesting.
Is there an artist you relate to?
Honestly no, I just respect high profile artists who are leaders and have full creative control over their projects. I guess being an established creator is what I find so cool about the more high profile artist.
What would you call your style?
My style is Pop-modern a name I personally came up with. My work is a mix of pop art from sub-cultures ranging from Europe to Japan with modern art colors. I only use flat solid colors and combine with graduation of colors in a series of layers and with dark bold line work to bring the colors out even more.
Did you ever feel like giving up?
I've definitely had my obstacles but a lot of that turned into inspiration and on top of my drive and ego it pushed me to new levels even now at this point as an emerging independent artist.
How would you define your fashion style?
All black with minimal accessories and my shoes are generally the statement piece to bring out the color in the outfit. I feel black is perfect because I can make it work with anything I wear.
How do you feel when people interpret your artwork differently?
I want people to interpret my work differently, I've already made up my own opinion of my work so it's always interesting to see other people's thoughts and perceptions.
